Occupational Therapy Team
Jean Narvadez
Hi I’m Jean! I’m an Occupational Therapist, originally from the Philippines based in Singapore. I hold a degree in Occupational Therapy from University of Santo Tomas, Manila. My passion as an Occupational Therapist lies in supporting individuals across the lifespan, from littlest learners to older adults, to engage meaningfully in their daily lives across a variety of settings. My journey in OT began with a deep desire to help people regain or build confidence, independence and joy through meaningful activities.
Over the years, I’ve been privileged to support individuals across the lifespan. My work has included babies and toddlers under 2 years old, pre-schoolers and school-aged children with developmental needs such as Global Developmental Delay, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and Intellectual Disabilities—across early intervention, preschool, and special education settings. My areas of practice include sensory processing, motor planning, coordination, handwriting, school participation, and self-care. I have also worked with teens in vocational skill-building, as well as adults and older adults with conditions such as Stroke, Parkinson’s disease, Dementia, and Psychiatric conditions.
At the core of my practice is a client-centred and family-centred philosophy. I believe that intervention is most transformative when families feel supported and confident in continuing strategies at home. I strive to collaborate closely with parents and caregivers so that skills learned in sessions naturally carry over into everyday routines.
As both an OT and a new mother, I have become even more passionate about advocating for environments where children feel safe, understood, and celebrated. I believe children learn best when they are given the space to explore, play and be themselves. I have learnt to apply a strengths-based approach in my practice, paying close attention to what a child can do, their interests, their unique way of engaging and the little sparks that make them who they are. Focusing on those strengths, I strive to build them gently and purposefully, so learning feels joyful. My goal is for every child to feel empowered to explore, connect, and grow at their own pace. I look forward to partnering with you and your child to build a purposeful, supportive, and joyful journey—one that nurtures confidence, independence, and connection every step of the way.
