Play Therapy Team
Feodora Roxanne Kosasih
Hello there! My name is Feodora, but everyone calls me Feo! I’m a Therapeutic Play Trainee based in Singapore, born and raised in Indonesia.
I started my career as a lab manager in a social network analysis lab in the U.S., before moving into research and product roles across the digital health and banking industries in Singapore.
So what sparks the interest? Curiosity. Growing up, I was the quiet observer in the room, always more curious about what sat underneath a person’s actions than the actions themselves — the feeling behind a reaction, the experience behind a perspective. That curiosity became one question: what shapes us into the people we become?
Much of the answer, I believe, is written early — which is why childhood matters so much to me. It’s what kept drawing me back to children, through teaching kindergarten, volunteering with a children’s charity, and years in children’s ministry. Each taught me something about what makes a child feel safe enough to be themselves.
And when a child feels safe, they play. Play is the universal language of a child — no one has to teach it. It’s how children have made sense of the world since the day they were born, and it remains their most honest way of being in it. In a space that is safe and accepting, a child will show you their world without needing the words for it. A quiet child becomes talkative. A hesitant one becomes bold. No two children play alike — and that is exactly what drew me here.
In my training, I practice child-centred play therapy under the Integrative Holistic Model of Play Therapy — an approach that trusts each child to lead the way, and to express, in their own time, what words alone often cannot. I bring patience, gentleness, and trust into every session.
I also value working closely with a child’s caregivers, not just the child themselves. The Integrative Holistic Model treats a child as part of a wider system — home, school, the people who raise them — and I believe real growth has to include that world. Therefore, I’m looking forward to the privilege of working with your child and partnering with your family in every step of the way.
