Speech & Language Therapy Team
Debora Marchini da Costa
Hi everyone — you can call me Debbie!
I’m a Speech and Language Therapist, originally from Brazil and based in Singapore since 2008. I’ve been working with children and families for almost 20 years, and I still feel just as passionate today as I did when I first started.
I hold a degree in Audiology and Speech and Language Therapy and am fully registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) in Singapore.
I began my career in pediatric hospitals back in Brazil, where I saw how powerful early support can be for a child’s confidence, learning, and relationships. Since then, I’ve supported children across international schools, private clinics, and local settings, working with a wide range of communication needs — from speech and language delays to neurodevelopmental differences.
I speak both English and Portuguese and have a strong understanding of multilingual development. I enjoy supporting children and families from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds, helping them excel in communication — no matter which languages they speak.
I’m also a mum of two girls (including a teenager!), so I bring not only clinical knowledge but real-life parenting experience to everything I do.
I believe in playful, respectful therapy that meets each child where they are. My goal is to create a warm, safe space where learning feels natural, and children feel seen, heard, and valued.
Can’t wait to work with your family!
