Educational Therapy Team

Cherith Wong

Hi everyone! I’m Cherith, an Educational Therapist with a deep passion for supporting children with literacy and learning needs.

My journey in education began early. At 16, I started volunteering as a teacher assistant in preschools during the school holidays. Those early experiences sparked a genuine interest in child development, and I continued supporting children across various settings whenever I could.

To build on that passion, I pursued both a diploma and a degree in Child and Educational Psychology. This provided a strong theoretical foundation that I’ve embedded into my everyday practice. Two of my most formative experiences were with a dyslexia-focused organisation and in London, where I had the privilege of delivering individualised literacy interventions to a range of students. Each child brought a unique story, and I saw first-hand how personalised support can truly make a difference.

After returning to Singapore, I further deepened my expertise by working in a SPED-NC school, specialising in supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). These diverse experiences have shaped my belief that every child has the potential to thrive with the right tools, strategies, and encouragement.

There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a child grow in reading confidence and joy. Witnessing their pride, progress, and perseverance fuels my passion for literacy intervention. I’m committed to making instruction fun, meaningful, and personalised, no matter how long the journey takes.
